craigiemack
A thread for the fans of those big teams who have the honour of being top of this prestigious league. A sanctuary where fans can post in peace away from the other diddies that inhabit this league.

Going by the score seems to have been enough shit in the Gretna defence without the Shire boys chucking more in I can remember when Gretna originals were in the 3rd Division watching them beat Shire 8-1 in a midweek game at Firs Park, which featured in Football's Hardest Away Days on sky, good revenge from that night yesterday. Living the dream.

BS7
Won the second division in 1932 so they must have topped the league then

In 79-80 them and Falkikr both went up from the 2nd division so may have swapped places at the top.

craigiemack
Well that was a fantastic experience. Tune in to the East of Scotland League in the 2025/2026 season where the Shire will enjoy their next fleeting spell at the top of a diddy league.
HibeeJibee
Bonnyrigg, newly-promoted, top of LL... the Mighty Berwick, newly-relegated, joint bottom of LL...
AlanCamelonfan
It's a tighter league than people thought
Guest
To be fair Alan only those who didn't realise how good the standard is thought it was going to be easy for two teams this season. The LL is filled with clubs who can all beat each other on any given day. It is a very good standard and will likely prove to be exciting throughout the season. As will the eos Premier. But clubs who are promoted into the league or relegated into it will have to work hard just to stay in the league.
HibeeJibee
Berwick and Bonnyrigg replaced Whitehill and Selkirk; Edusport became Caledonian Braves; that immediately added 3 quality teams... Then you look at EK, Kelty and Shire's recruitment.
