Week 25: Ross County (1-3 v Kilmarnock)

This is where gameweeks get a little messed up, as Rangers beating County was technically week 17, as it had been postponed for cup games. So the alternative Hot Potato would still be in Govan (poor thing) but seeing as Rangers had it, then won, I'll give it to County (because I can, no questions).

Anyway, having made numerous signings, Uncle Roy will not have been wanting the potato as well. Next up is Livingston at home on Wednesday.

There's a new ingredient for Tony Macaroni, as the hot potato finds itself at the Spaghettihad for the first time this season.  Half the teams in the league now have their name on what has been called the "most prestigious leaderboard in the country*".

Spoiler

*It was me that said that

Next up for the pastafarians, St Mirren at home on Wednesday.

St Mirren taking possession of the HP for the first time this season means  over half of the league have had it at some point.

Their postponement at the weekend means that this Fridays game is not just a relegation 6-pointer under the lights - its a HOT POTATO SHOWDOWN

You're making the assumption that Motherwell doesn't snatch it away from St Mirren at tomorrow's rescheduled league fixture.

Which they won't.

Well well well...

Motherwell become the 8th holders of this seasons Hot Potato, only Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs & Kilmarnock have avoided it so far. They also contrived to deny us of a Hot Potato themed Saints showdown next Wednesday, instead keeping it at Fir Park for the visit of Ross County.

Is it going to be a top 6 potato this year?

Quite possibly, but Motherwells next 2 are Ross County, then Hearts. They also play Kilmarnock. So probably not

Is the potato shiny? Look good in photos?

Of course. Why do you think St Johnstone held on to it for so long?
