Thommo90
A seriously shambolic 2nd half performance. How Carswell managed to bag the man of the match award I'll never know, not that he had much competition. If ever there was a glaring warning sign that we need another striker then today was it. Ps. Shiels most definitely isn't the answer to McCluskey's shiteness so we also require a winger. I’d send Shiels back to rangers the now. More muscle in a goldfish. Karpaty Lviv
We must have won a mental amount of points from losing positions under Lennon. This team never fails to surprise me. What a time to be alive.

Still games available for anybody who wants to pick man of the match. Hutton was a big miss today. 2nd half in particular - Clyde seemed to be able to enjoy plenty of possession without serious challenge and were winning most 2nd balls. We invited them to attack us. Both goals were preventable. How they made it through traffic from the edge of the box without somebody getting in front of the shot is just crazy. They weren't even shots that burst the back of the net. A Dumbarton player has to be braver and throw themselves in front of those shots. 2nd half we were utterly woeful. We should have been going for a 2nd rather than sitting back trying to hold on at 1-0.

the_bully_wee
As soon as Lennon hooked Love, pushed McStay forward and switched Johnston's flank we had won that game. Another reminder of why Danny is such an asset to our club. We controlled the game well until Crossan's fine goal (poor stuff from Johnston and Cuddihy, however), but the former compensated with his winner. The lack of a killer touch was evident without Goodwillie, but the spirit of this team is utterly unquestionable and after we got that first goal it felt for all the world like they'd get the win - a few dicey moments aside. I though Darren Smith had his brightest game yet, in spite of his few spurned opportunities. Rumsby was fantastic with Howie - a few wee mistakes aside - much the same. We are some team. shawfielder
Great effort today, Rumsby and Howie are getting better every week, Grant and McStay are class . Thought Petkov had his best game in a Clyde jersey after coming on. As Always a good Clyde support, all in all a good day at the office
mike rankine
Thought a draw would have been a fair result but ultimately can't complain. The Clyde keeper had a brilliant save with his feet in the first half. It's always difficult picking a Dumbarton man of the match in a poor home defeat but, for me, it was Brennan by a mile. Caught everything in his box and pulled off a few great saves, including at least one where the linesman flagged (but he wasn't to know that at the time). He couldn't be blamed for either goal...our defence should have blocked both shots. Says it all that our goalkeeper was our best player.
David W
FIrst quarter of the game we were in total control, allowed to pass it without challenge from one end of the pitch to the opposite penalty box. I find it absolutely staggering that there are teams at this level who still haven't worked out that we are a much poorer team when Grant is taken out of the team. That said, Mitchell made an excellent save with Dumbarton having the best chance in that period. Credit to Duffy perhaps for changing it, going to more of a 442 and pressing higher up the pitch. Without Goodwillie we struggled to get out, and that's maybe why Smith was moved centrally, and Love put out wide but that had the knock on effect of the Dumbarton right back started to get forward. Crossan, who threatened throughout, did well for the goal. No idea how it went in though; a tight angle should have taken a spectacular finish to beat Mitchell. The second half was absolute garbage until we brought Petkov on, putting McStay on the right and returning Smith up front again. Love's ankle needs a wee while out the team unfortunately. It was a similar time that Carswell dropped out of Dumbarton's midfield. From then on, we were first to everything in the centre of the pitch. Good finish from McStay after a set piece cleared to the edge of the box, Johnston being set up by Howie to score the second. Apart from a couple of crosses, Dumbarton didn't look like coming back into it and both Smith and Lamont should have added a third. GIving the rest of the division a three game head start should have made this season a challenge, but there we are, sitting in fourth. Today was probably the worst performance over the unbeaten period but we had too much quality for Dumbarton in the end. That's twice in the last year and a half that Rumsby has back-pocketed Layne; that's exactly his sort of battle. If Smith had scored, it would have been an outstanding performance rather than just an excellent one. Petkov changed the game in our favour. Lamont was awful, Johnston very quiet apart from his goal but for boys like him and Mitchell to achieve their lifelong ambition of playing for Clyde is brilliant to see. Managerial work excellent as usual. Roll on next week.

CM.
Very enjoyable victory. We dominated the opening half hour so it was disappointing and undeserved to go in behind. Some response though. Agree with the_bully_wee that the Petkov substitution and substequent reshuffle won it for us (Petkov ended up playing with Grant in the middle with McStay out on the right similar to the Falkirk game. Johnston left). Some scenes at the winner. Loved Johnston running the full length of the pitch to celebrate with us. Togetherness between this team (management included) and the fans is absolutely superb. Night and day from dinosaurs like Duffy and Bomber. Final word on Isaac Layne. Was a bit wary of him going into the game but he somehow contrived to put in an even worse performance than Sammon and McManus did for Falkirk the other week. Complete carthorse. O'Kelly Isley III
Today was a reality check, big-time, and Clyde thoroughly deserved their win. They worked harder, looked hungrier, and won just about every head-to-head across the park.Far too many basic errors intruded on our side, not least the kamikaze attempts to dribble our way out of defence and the pile of mishit passes. Ingo ohne Flamingo
Hope McLuskey enjoyed that today, an absolute shite bag of a player who only managed to look semi-decent in a shitey Clyde team littered with shite like Scullion, Gray and Sweeney managed by a dinosaur like Duffy... A team that fucking hated the fans I may add but to be fair, we weren't too endeared to them either. The togetherness of this team is unbelievable lead by a fucking genius in the dugout and his equally genius sidekick. The will and desire from these players is absolutely outstanding and their love for the fans is just class. The scenes and celebrations at the 2nd were just brilliant! Fucking love this Clyde team
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Clyde manage a win that lifts them to 4th in the table and they are more worried about getting it up absolute cardboad cutout characters like Jim Duffy and Stefan McCluskey. What a bunch of oddballs.
BullyWee Craig
Imagine thinking clyde are a one man team Even crazier when people think it and haven't work out that man isn't Goodwillie, it's Danny Lennon. Just to parrot what others have said, i am absolutely loving this team, the togetherness with everyone and everything at the club.
