The levels system is pointless now that the whole country is moving in unison anyway. They're just there for people who want to give things a name.

Regardless of whether the whole country is moving in unison or not, it’s still telling you what you can and cannot do, no?

Yeah just saw Leitch tweeting it. So level 0 means 2000 maximum capacity at sports events outdoor seated. How does that fly with what they’ve said for the euros?

Level 0 isn't the maximum amount of opening up possible - Sturgeon originally said something like "at least Level 0" by June when she outlined the roadmap a few weeks ago.

Good point.

But it's just a list of dates for easing stuff, they don't need to attach numbers to it, especially when they're picking and choosing parts to change on their own like they did today.

I guess having numbers makes it easier to change an area again if they have to, ie if somewhere gets moved back up they just say you’re in level one rather than listing everything that’s permitted. Which obviously hopefully will not happen anyway.

Surely they have set the precedent of at least 25% of capacity by mid-June with what's happening at Hampden.

There's also no reference to a stadiums capacity in there, for example 2,000 folk at Forthbank is markedly different to 2,000 at Easter Road. I'd expect there to be further, separate crowd rules for sports stadiums come July.

See in Boris roadmap when it says, all legal restrictions on social contact removed.... What does that actually mean then?

f**k who you want, when you want.

Or that’s how he’ll interpret it.

They can genuinely go take a f**k to themselves if thats the case in July, legal challenges galore.

Said this a week or two ago, and was widely dismissed as "doom and gloom nonsense".

These Hampden games are a 'wee treat' for us, and once they're out the road normal service will resume.

The folks celebrating the 25% pish are the same types who think we should have lockdown forever just because.
There is absolutely no reason that you can have 200 people in a function hall for a wedding with zero ventilation etc and tell us that we can’t have normal attendances at football.
There has to come a point where we all get together as football fans and challenge their scaremongering shite.

Well that's what I suspect may happen if hospitalisations, deaths and (to lesser extent) cases stay low. They may find it harder to justify restrictions if that continues to be the case.

Of course, that may be the plan. Hold off making any commitments on things just now and see how it looks come summer. That's pretty much consistent with the approach so far.
