It will be impossible to stop people who don't fancy sticking it out for a while until they have been vaccinated from going to the pub. Sadly until we have reached enough folk with the vaccine then the restrictive tiers ought to be in place one we have worked through all the vulnerable hopefully they will ditch everything other than encouraging more frequent hand washing and mask wearing in enclosed spaces.

If some gammon chooses to waltz down to the pub when they have obvious co-morbidities and gets the rona then that's tough luck. Or their own stupidity, depending on how you choose to frame it. It is not the job of society as a whole to sit on pause until every one of these so-called vulnerable categories gets round to being vaccinated.

At the end of the day it was a daft question for the journalist to ask, IMO, given that he knew what the answer was going to be before he asked it.

That i'd agree with.

How they can't see what they are doing by now, though, and avoid giving them the answer they need for their headline I don't know.

Yes. Yes it will. Those who drink every word she says will absolutely not book a summer holiday right now.
NS isn't the main culprit here, though. It's the dentist adding his wee piece as usual.
Those people only exist in your mind !

Conversely then if Leitch said he loved Pot Noodle or Sturgeon said she shopped in Aldi, sales of Pot Noodle and in Aldi would soar. The power of the Scottish Government WoW.

NS or JL saying they won't be booking for Summer 2021 just yet will not see Jet2 into administration it's safe to say !

Sadly there is enough of them to utterly f**k the NHS and the morgues etc. By early summer we should have enough folk vaccinated to bring back normality.

By early summer the economic hole we'll have dug for ourselves will make 'utterly f**k the NHS' one of the top manifesto pledges of the 2020s.

They've got January at most to roll out as many vaccines as they can, after that it's time to steadily open up.

You weaken your point with dreadful anaolgies.

However, if NS or JS had been on TV being the authority on Pot Noodles or Aldi for the past 9 months then their words absolutely would have a positive or negative impact on both.

Until we know whether the vaccine prevents transmission that's a perfectly sensible position to take.

If the vaccine prevents people getting seriously ill, that's all that matters.

Spreading it will no longer matter. If it does prevent the spread then that's a bonus for whichever percentage of the population either cannot be vaccinated or refuse vaccination.

Unless you're going to ban unvaccinated people from supermarkets and everywhere else, I think vaccinated people should carry on using masks for a bit longer. It's different issue for people refusing a vaccine obviously, but it looks like most people won't get the option until late Spring/Summer.

"Why"?

That's fucking stupid.

The vaccine is what 90% effective if you believe the hype.

So masks 'must' be worn, whether you've had the jab or not.

Forget this pish re V-Day., if you believe it.

When everyone has been offered a vaccine or we've reached 70% or whatever herd immunity, I'd agree. In the meantime I'll be wearing my mask in busy places after I get the jag.
