In that case there’s no way you should have to isolate again as you already have done. Something not adding up here. He was in before we knew we had to self isolate, and the 10 days (not 14 as I originally thought) started from 28th June, so the self isolation ended on 8th July.
DeeTillEhDeh
Can't speak for him, but Long Covid does exist. It isn't as prevalent as people are claiming though. A bit like when someone says 'Im really OCD' when they clean their bathroom twice a week. Or telling all and sundry on FB they have mental illness.

The Scottish Government has absolutely clownshoed the past year, I've zero faith in them not continuing to do so. England will be free and past their freedom surge of cases, while we're still in lockdown and being told its too risky to open up so close to Winter. I've expected to wait until at least next Summer for us to have our "freedom day" and nothing I've seen or heard from Sturgeon changes that opinion.
DeeTillEhDeh
They're not going to happen. If they were they would have already awarded a contract to one of their mates to make a fast buck. Vaccine passports have a short window where they could be useful. In the UK that window has already closed, and becomes more firmly closed each passing day. They remain a threat to encourage vaccine uptake, as well as encourage people and businesses to voluntarily wear / require masks for a wee while yet. They want people to think that by doing the above, they will collectively prevent them being introduced. They want a slow return to normal as they finish off the tail end of the vaccine roll out, not a flick of a switch. The only use I can forsee is for international travel - anything else will not be enforceable.

They are already being used for high profile events. Next week they will begin to be used for nightclubs and gigs in England. The government have already indicated that their use will be expanded in September. -

BlueBear
Boris the knob getting slaughtered for his "populist" rhetoric.... Union leader Manuel Cortes, of the TSSA transport union, said: “If, as the Prime Minister says, face coverings are strongly recommended in crowded enclosed spaces to stop the spread of Covid, it beggars belief that the Tory government is making this an optional extra rather maintaining it as a mandatory requirement.” He added: “The government is sadly playing fast and loose with our country’s health and wellbeing. Johnson admits we are in the middle of a third wave and that cases, hospitalisations and deaths will increase as a result of dropping these basic protective measures. It is staggeringly irresponsible.” I have to agree. By all means go with freedom day, but keep the masking as mandatory until cases cases drastically diminish. I think hell end up with mega push back on this when the cases go back up again. It's all about public perception and he's made a c**t of it. Albeit later, I think Nicola is right to continue with them, but it's all about number of cases when August 9 comes around. I don't see why she couldn't give us equivalent freedom just with masks. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I'm sure they stopped me getting the cold or flu last winter for the first time in years when I'm usually rotten with several bouts of it.

Why would cases drastically diminish? The virus is circulating amongst double vaccinated people already. -
Michael W
It's France and not the UK, but this is not really something you want to see - the roll out of a domestic vaccine passport.

As long as their is no rise in deaths then I dont see an issue. 3 million people could have it but as long as they are only having mild symptoms (if any at all) who really cares? Also the fact its "circulating" in double vaxed people just renders the covid passport futile

On deaths we really won't know until the winter. -

Clearly this is being rolled out in sync all across Europe. Our parliament is also debating mandatory vaccination for certain jobs tomorrow. -

Detournement
We are living in a double speak world where the media headlines are proclaiming the end of restrictions at the exact moment the government are announcing a new permanent digital infrastructure to restrict access to society.

Solution to this is to bin self isolation. We are rapidly approaching the stage where the biggest issue with the virus are the rules the Government put in place to stop too many 80 year olds dying
