Not really as soon as you lift them ground will still be damp and the rain forecasted will still flood the pitch , we need the rain to be a lot less than forecasted

Otherwise, you should have and use covers to protect the pitch until it's absolutely necessary to expose it to the elements.
D'Jaffo
Jesus first a QOTS fan getting himself in a tizzy over the time it might take supporters bus to get to Dumfries and now VT moaning about rain and covers. People really need to chill out and stop stressing themselves over us. It’s to rain for more than 3 hours as well.

Not as much a diddy club as yours going by your knowledgeable manager , on his interview on tomorrow’s game he states we are a strong attacking team with Forrest Moffat and McGuffie up front for us , the same McGuffie that HE signed 2 weeks ago , as stated earlier it’s to rain before during and after game in total approx 10 hrs and the rain is forecasted to be torrential, wet pitch should help you as might lower us to your level , only hope is forecast is incorrect , I take it that you remember your game against QOS this season was postponed at Home due to your pitch being waterlogged Edited February 14, 2020 by Robbo63

You know what they’re like for “red tape” Seemingly they have made that date available if both clubs agree as it is a scheduled game night on their rota , as cup replays were due for that night and there is another league 1 game on that night Edited February 14, 2020 by Robbo63

If covers are put down then the game at least is given the best possible chance of going ahead: if club flunkies like yourself plan on doing nothing but stand gormlessly while it pisses down all morning onto the surface instead then it really won’t be the weather to blame if it gets called off.At the end of the day it’ll be your club losing money as a result.

I think the only thing that will get the game called off is the weather , covers no use as the current winds are needed to dry a very damp pitch , covers would then only be able to be put down when rain starts , takes over an hour to lay and they need to be lifted for inspection. Time does not allow for this process , if game went ahead on Tuesday I wouldn’t think the crowd would be much lower than tomorrow, with the forecast a number of fans will stay away as shown in last couple of games with similar weather condition
Rudolph Hucker
Ignore the post 2 above, he’s no more an expert on pitch management than he is on tact and diplomacy or dipping his wick. The forecast for Ayr is for 24 hours of rain from early tomorrow morning, some of it torrential. After a few rain-free hours on Sunday it looks odds on that you’ll see a fair bit more of it on Monday and Tuesday. If the game‘s aff tomorrow it has to be very doubtful as to whether or not it will drain sufficiently to let the game go ahead on Tuesday and, as anyone with any common sense knows already, putting the covers down now won’t get the game on on either date.

AYRSHIRE_ANGUS
I'm not confident but just looked at the Met office forecast for Ayr and it has improved slightly. Morning rain then showers in the afternoon. Sure the forecast will change again though.

This from the guy who was forced to close his colonic irrigation clinic because of a hosepipe ban. if this latest drivel is anything to go by I’m guessing you could probably suck up the cover run off with that gob of yours and store it in the large space between your ears.

Finlay21
Pitch playable at moment , rain now showing as not getting heavy until 12 noon , 3 hrs later than yesterday’s forecast , but feel the wind is getting stronger than last week currently, feel it will be a close decision , but more in favour of being off , hope it eases up a bit Edited February 15, 2020 by Robbo63
