Excellent defensive work from the Hearts fans, I admire their support, ready to back the club on the Championship crusade...but just what if it doesn't happen straight away, another year in the wilderness awaits. What's the equivalent club in England I wonder ?

They want to be careful. Having the biggest budget in the Championship is no guarantee of anything. Trust me.

Will there be a level of surprise at the mighty Hearts when all the Tinpot/Diddy clubs (which according to Hearts supporters is just about everyone) fail to go out of existence ? At some stage Hearts supporters will need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and move on. Looking for snippets from every other club struggling due to Covid 19 and wishing  them dead and buried is really not the way to go. Some of the stuff such as stating visiting supporters and journalists should be made to feel unsafe  is plain crazy. Hearts will recover from this and quickly return to the top flight, it’s merely a blip in their history. End of the day you can argue it’s unfair and maybe it is. But it’s still a fact that the team with the third biggest budget in the league were bottom while a club like Motherwell with a budget maybe a quarter of Hearts finished third, Hearts got themselves in this position in the first place and it went from there.

not disputing that. every man for himself now. good luck

Think that was used to justify their decision making... they should just come out and be completely honest and say we are doing this and we don’t care if it stuffs some clubs up .. that’s just the way the cookie crumbles.. life can be horrible at times !!!

"They" didn't do anything other than propose this, the clubs did by voting in favour.

We are in win-win territory.

Hearts win: Doncaster will have to go, clubs that feel their relegation was unfair will either have it undone or be compensated.

SPFL win: The more likely option, LOL all round.

What’s more likely - and even then it’s unlikely - is that the original vote to end the season is quashed because of some procedural impropriety.

The outcome of that would likely be Doncaster being mutually-consented, the vote being re-run and Hearts still being relegated.

So the best of both worlds.

Donald Findlay was spot on with everything he said.Tom English just cannot see both sides.Only thinks this is unfair on hearts when in reality it would be much more unfair to let them off with relegation.

It's only relegation for hearts ffs Tom, we arent firing them into the sun.

Now, there's an alternative.

"done it before"

Are you claiming Hearts "came back stronger" after their last relegation?

An average position of 7th over 5 seasons, which has once again ended with Hearts relegated.

Clearly the muscles were well and truly flexed, and I'm sure all top flight sides are quivering over such a mighty force returning to the top flight this time next year.

you voted out of self interest to get your money, you didn't question doncasters motives. you look after yourself, we will look after ourselves, best of luck

who cares. we could get relegated to the lowland league and we will still be bigger than you, we won't down for long. form is temporary, class is permanent. money will never be an issue for us, we were just crap this season. how's your finances?

One day the establishment bucks will dry up.

Ok mate, this is your conspiracy so just for the record and the evidence to back it up what exactly did the new world order of Doncaster and Lawell offer us?

laugh all you want pal, we will come back stronger, probably don't even need the compensation money

Imagine how much stonger you'd come back if you were relegated two divisions?

If they have the biggest budget in the Championship, with possibly the biggest crowds - surely everyone will be out to get them, as is normal. Hopefully they hit the ground running or it could be a difficult season, are there guarantee',s that the money will be available following relegation ?
