Thats  better than the one I was going to do although perhaps JVOH ahead of Sutton for heading but at the same time Larsson's leap and precise heading is also up there.

Jesus Paulo, Sammy wasn't a patch on Jody or Midge. Nostalgia kicking in I think.

Wee nigel was a decent dribbler, when he wasn't sitting on the ball obviously.

I know I know, but he was a standout at the level (the bottom division). Midge was going to be my other shout for midfield link up passer;  missed a lot of Jody's time working away so probably not go the same appreciation for him that others have.

To be fair If McCann continues the way he was last season then he'll be the standout for this.

But there no one comes close to Zorro for dribbling Tam.

Left foot: Stephen Glass

Right foot: Lee Richardson (had to include him somewhere).

Finishing: Duncan Shearer

Passing: Gordon Strachan (only player on list I've not seen play).

Speed: Robbie Winters

Dribbling: Eoin Jess

Heading: Alex McLeish (loses points for describing himself as a 'Real Rangers Man')

Tackling: Brian Irvine

Maskrey was decent but he used his pace a lot, hit it past the player then run. He was one of my favourite players was wee Stevie, great player in a great side.  Wee nige had phenomenal control and strength in tight situations, obviously nowhere near as effective but still had talent.

Best dribble I ever saw from a Saints player was Midge v Dundee United.

Also I want to add a category. Best at overhead kicks - Andy Brannigan.

I saw this on Twitter and thought it was a good idea for a bit of fun.

You need to use players from the team you support and you can’t use a player more than once.

Which player would you take each of these attributes from to create the ultimate player?

Left foot:

Right foot:

Finishing:

Passing:

Speed:

Dribbling:

Heading:

Left foot: Hugh Robertson

Right foot: Richard Brittain

Finishing: Liam Boyce

Passing: Iain Vigurs

Speed: slowcoaches only need apply, but there was a left back we signed from Ayr under Cooper who was incredibly fast - and nothing else.  Him.

Dribbling: Billy Ferries

Heading: Brian Irvine

Tackling: Robbie Williamson

Glad to see Brian Irvine getting dual recognition from both Aberdeen & County fans.

Moravcik was sublime with either foot, just put him in as a righty since Nakamura was predominantly left footed, as you say Larsson was incredibly good in the air for a guy who wasn't the tallest but can only put him in the one category and naturally it had to be a finisher.

Celtic fans not putting Balde for heading is outrageous. Man was unreal in the air.

Would clear everything going but not necessarily with accuracy. I cant remember many having him as an outside scorer (when odds on defenders were decent) before games like folk used to have Mcmanus etc for corners. We scored a shitload from them under O’Neill too.

16 goals in him time at Celtic isn't rubbish. Take your point that his accuracy wasn't the best (Which is probably the point of the thread!), but if there was one man that I'd have put my mortgage on winning a header it'd have been Balde.

Left foot:

Right foot: Burke

Finishing: Boyd

Passing: Eremenko

Speed: Jordan Jones

Dribbling: Mehdi Taouil

Heading: Kevin Kyle

Tackling: Stu Findlay

I’ve tried to use recent-ish examples. Honestly cannot think of one for a left footer.

Surely heading should be Eric Black?

Could have been. Embarrassment of riches for some of these.

John Hewitt, if you're talking about 'that' header, no?
