bigwullieac
Wonder if there's any chance of the Sanctus guys being allowed along with the team on Saturday? Otherwise will just be a case of watching the twitter feed

Jambo'ness
Confirmed in interview with Max after game, that it was Craig Meikle at the back. Obviously not a signing target but plaudits to the guy for helping to keep a clean sheet.
Deanburn Dave
Thought our back 4 were very solid. The 2 fullbacks went forward just the right amount for me. The VoL attackers had to be kept at bay and the fullbacks managed that. Andy Murphy had a quiet night. Gemmell was his usual high standard in front of the back 4. If he plays we generally keep our shape and are hard to beat. Grant , Jacobs, Locke and Bell all played well. It will take a few more weeks for them to know each others game a bit better. Kieran Anderson will take months to get back to full fitness but held the ball up when he got it. My MOTM ? Locke with 2 good goals just shaded it from the impressive Bell. Good to see Nimmo back. Lots to be encouraged about.........and Comrie, Hunter, Snowdon, Ritchie and Miller to return to bolster the team.

I think Tommo looks in great shape. Still sprinting in the 90th minute. Hit some cracking passes tonight and was a bloody nuisance to the VoL midfield and fullback..
BU_Brian
was Bell the big guy in the centre of midfield in the second half? if yes, he was solid, fit, good engine and liked to drive forward. One wee gripe. did some nice stuff and then if he had released the ball, brilliant, but held on a little too long. but that can be trained out of him. defo an asset.

HibeeJibee
Stumped up my £5 and it was a good feed: multi-cameria made it best I've seen so far passing Musselburgh on Friday. Saw you got 100+ (= £500?). Hosts won comfortably after indifferent 1st-half.
Deanburn Dave
That's him Brian. Yes 2nd half he had a couple of runs where he showed good control and pace. Yes he should have passed it earlier but didn't. You see that quite a lot with decent players who join a new team. He just wants to impress. Give him a few training sessions and max will get it sorted. In Max we trust !!

Big, strong, reasonable pace, decent on the ball and probably the biggest selling point.. under 30, lol no, he could be a bit of a find. ref the numbers for the ticket sales... tremendous. I believe Fanbase take less than 2% ... very decent. but the camera guys will need to be paid... eventually. quality service, well worth the ticket money.

Jambo'ness
What a wonderful start to the season, especially with a depleted team. The spirit that saw us through last season has been much in evidence again and you do feel these boys would run through a brick wall for Max, if asked. Mustn't be complacent though. Every game will be a test, especially whilst we are low on numbers. Really good to see Tom Grant displaying the form we all knew was in there but showed up only on occasions last season. Nicky Locke lloks a good capture and when Zander is fit, these two should continue their playing relationship from Broxburn days. Finally, huge praise must go to Max. It is so rare in a BU's manager to have the ability to alter tactics in play. Switching Ryan to the left, then pushing Nicky up top made all the difference last night.
boheesian
The first half was very scrappy but once the positional changes were made we were a different outfit. First goal was a Campbell special ie. in the right place at the right time. Locke took his two well and Bell - who looks a decent player - added another. The passing and general play was quicker in the second-half and on that basis it was a comfortable win in the end. Till the injured players are fit it looks like the lineups will be ad hoc. Good to see Nimmo get a we run out.
Standalone
Think the referee from last nights match deserves a mention, never really noticed him which is always a good sign.

Strange that, 2 games and 2 refs that have not only behaved themselves, but actually looked quite professional. long may that last. possibly the lack of fans, hence the lack of verbal abuse; may just be giving them that little bit more freedom. although, last night, nearing the end of the game, up the top, school corner; the ball went out for a throw in... watched the lino and he waited for the ref to give the direction, THEN put his flag up and pointed it the same way... was funny, but can be so infuriating. only neg of the night. had a good evening last night. lol be lucky guys.
BU_Brian
put myself forward as the twitter updater, during the game. Think I was 47th in the list. lol so desperate to watch them. horrible thing is ... if they continue to win... is it because I wasn't there? aaaaahhhh. am I destined never to go to another BU's game? superstition ... freakin nightmare,
BU_Brian
I think tomorrow's game is going to be a difficult challenge. Edin Uni may have lost their first two, but it was against possible title contenders. We may have a few other bodies back, fingers crossed. ugly win will do for me.
