You did put me under pressure from the off, but I managed to claw my way back in and you eventually gave up the tempo here and there. I should maybe have played on. In hindsight, I can see a couple of fruitful lines in there now. But hey, all water under the bridge now! pleslie99 Posted August 13 Share Posted August 13 AH13STU beats Pleslie999 by resignation. genuinely thought I was doing ok, but my attacks were always a move behind being successful and was having to defend most of the game. Blundering a rook didn’t help but I was trying to work out my next few moves when I accidentally pressed the tick . I was in all sorts of bother at the end and couldn’t see a way out. Curmudgeon Posted August 14 Share Posted August 14 Cup result Ancientnoise beats Curmudgeon by resignation I was a bit more aggressive in the opening than usual, which led to a pretty sharp position, but one underwhelming move gave me a uphill struggle from then on which I was unlikely to come back from.
