In 18/19 he didn't concede any more than the average keeper. In 17/18 he conceded 2 more. 16/17 he prevented 2 more goals than the average keeper. He's been declining since 18/19 on paper, and I imagine most people would agree with what they've seen. Mannus prevented 4 more goals in 16/17, then conceded 2 more in 17/18. He's got away with a few too - 2 on Saturday alone. I think @Radford's nailed it. He's a bottom-3 keeper in a top-6 side and with a poorer set of CB's in front of him we would have been in more trouble this year. New keeper should be very high up the list for the summer, probably a good VFM move as keepers seem to be a relatively cheap upgrade in terms of bang for buck.
Lang Toon Saintee
I'I know that I've said this before. But Paul Mathers has been with the club around five years now and we created a upgraded position for him presumably with a big increase in his salary to prevent him going to another club...In his time here I cannot think of any Goalkeeper who has improved under his coaching and neither of our two senior keepers fill me with confidence... -

I think the stats back up what the eyes can see here to be honest. Clark is one of the poorer goalkeepers in the league. I'm not saying it to make him a scape goat, I'm just stating a fact.

Dons_1988
Saints fans droning on about the dross that play in goals for them might be more boring than the Aberdeen thread.

Suspect Device
I'm getting the feeling that the Saints keeper might just play the game of his life tomorrow.
deej
Its Aberdeen, the only player they have that can actually score is a St Johnstone player. We don't need a keeper. Kerr McCart Gordon Craig McCann Bryson Wotherspoon Rooney Melamed Kane Middleton f**k it, lets go mental and try and score more than one goal

DrewDon
This game should be called off. Our players will be mourning the loss of Prince Philip.

resk
This one will be nil nil for 80-odd minutes until Adam Rooney pops up and nods one in out of nowhere. We've still got Adam Rooney, right?

Jamie_B
Might see a change or two for this one just based on last week, though no idea what the best option is to mix it up. We’ve played Aberdeen three times this season and only come away with a single point which I don’t think is any real reflection on how those games have gone. Hopefully we can get an absolutely nonsensical penalty decision in our favour this time... If there are changes they’ll be in the front three (unless Davidson is somehow back fit to play in Craig’s place). Clark Kerr Gordon McCart Rooney McCann Craig Booth Melamed Kane/May Conway/Wotherspoon/Middleton Take your pick up top really...
tree house tam
I think Middleton and Spoony should start but can they play of either Melamed or May? Kane can gtf if he thinks he's worth more money.
