Complete silence from the seven 'jabbers' amongst our ranks.

You' think that the 88% jag vote would put the issue to bed, but my other half is still having none of it, saying "aye, depends where across Scotland they're from".  However, I was quick to remind her that as somebody who says "fork and knife", any term-related argument of her's carries very little (if any) weight.  

Eta: she's also adamant that 'troll' rhymes with 'trawl'.

I voted jag, however I can explain why weirdo and English call it a jab.

We use the term jag from the needle, to explain it from a pain point of view. will they say jab to explain it as a forward motion from the syringe.

Surely it's always been a jag in Scotland.  Remember at school get my jag.

Have BBC Scotland presenters been told to say jab though......always thought it strange they would refer to the jab when vast majority of their viewers / listeners would definitely say jag.

The type of people in Scotland who will say jab are more than likely the type who would call a chipper a chippy
