A sad day indeed. Tragic news and thoughts with Iain’s family. Iain was an absolute gentleman. A young man taken way too soon who will be sorely missed by the club and around Newtown Park.

Despite such sad news, it’s been quite nice to see a lot of folk have changed their Facebook profile pic tonight to the greyed-out/black & white BU crest.

Was sorry to read the news of Iain last week. Must be a terrible sad time for Iain's Family, friends and all those associated with Bo'ness.

I am sure a healthy number of home fans will go to the ground tonight and pay their respects, prior to tonight's cup tie with Musselburgh. Not the time to go overboard with my thoughts of the match, but hope it is a good match and played in the spirit that Iain would have loved to have seen. 💙

I expected far more from Musselburgh who sit 5th in the EoS premier league. Maybe they had players missing but they looked a poor side this evening. Apart from a few corners and one strong shot they didn't create very much and at times looked disinterested.

BU should have scored far more than 3 goals. Kyle Johnston has looked to lack pace in the Lowland League but when he came on after 45 mins the slow pace of the game suited him and he had the time and space to link up the play.

A comfortable win for the BU's.

Nicol MOTM by a country mile, would have scored himself had it not been taken off his foot as he was about to pull the trigger.
Did Musselburgh not know they were allowed to tackle?

Definitely, Nicol MOTM by a distance. He looked good on his debut against Edinburgh City but not been consistent since then. Tonight he ran the show and at times looked to be unplayable.
