St Mirren v Hearts

Recommended Posts

We’ve barely been in this unfortunately. Dunne looks well off the pace and can’t pass the ball, and McGrath’s the only midfielder who’s offered anything going forward. The ref isn’t helping though.

Dunne should be back-up option while we have McCarthy at the club. Can’t understand his exclusion from the team. Dunne is lazy in his defending. Agreed, McGrath has made the difference since the first 25 mins where we got battered. Our lack of wingers really doesn’t allow us to change our shape much.

I dunno, we could go 4-2-3-1 with Henderson and Tanser pushed right forward either side of McGrath, and Tait at LB. I'd like to see us do it as I think Hearts are having a lot of joy in the channels against our back three.

Hard to understand why we started off by allowing hearts the ball and inviting pressure onto us. I mean if we had Erhahon in there beside Power and some genuine pace on the park to allow us to hit them on the counter then I’d understand it but we don’t.

Slightly better last 20 mins of the half but still not great.

Big improvement needed this half

Relegation beckons for the Paisley Saintees, I fear

Almost like trying to rebuild Clarkes Kilmarnock side, 5 years after they were good, isn't a great idea.

With a sprinkling of Stephen Robinson Motherwell for good measure.

Its literally just a mismash of rejects from sides who've finished top 6 in the past.

The most boring, uninspiring, weak willed signing policy I can ever remember seeing from a club at this level.

It's certainly looking like a day of shocks, Premiership strugglers getting a win against Rangers, while the plucky Championship winning side leading here. A real day for the underdogs, imo.
