No wonder there’s such a gap. You could have skipped all that number-crunching and just looked at the absolute nick of the managers of the bottom 5 clubs to arrive at the same conclusion. Two have yet to play their 'sack haddy' card while Ayr and Hamilton may be tempted to play it again (which should be regarded as cheating and punished with a massive points deduction).

Our board appear to have lost their ‘sack haddy’ card unfortunately.

This is the two league tables split down by results against the top and bottom half, ranked in points per game order due to the differing number of games played skewing overall points totals: Surprisingly, ourselves, Inverness and Dunfermline have a better points per game record against the top 5 than the bottom 5. However, I expect from our side that will drop off as we play top 5 sides in our next 3 unfortunately.

I was well aware of our split (we've been largely flat-track bullies), but am surprised that Killie have a near identical split. The one win against a top side that Thistle and Killie have each achieved has come against the other. In our case, at least our 4 points have come in our last two games against top 6 teams- hopefully we can keep that up.

Our record is good but 4 of our last 5 games against the bottom 5 have been draws.
1320Lichtie
We were very lucky to get a draw v Morton we were awful that day but I have no idea how we never won the other 3.
