Hampden Diehard
Yip, Connor Smith's best game for us, on a day when everyone did the business. Good comment that this isn't the team that most would have picked but you can't argue with the end product. Two huge games coming up and with Falkirk facing Cove next week, hopefully they'll bounce back. Watching the highlights, it's criminal that we didn't score ten. And I'm being serious.

NavyBlueArmy1876
Quite simply the worst performance and result in our history Hetherington should never play for the club again. His pass for the 3rd goal - and then falling on his arse (rather than easily dispossessing Longridge who had taken a heavy touch) for the 4th sums up his Falkirk career to date. I'm also going to blame him for the second goal, as his pathetic attempt to block a fairly powderpuff shot that had been heading straight at the goalkeeper basically killed the game at that point. Sheerin rightly emptied, who has made the same mistakes time after time this season. He was probably afforded more time than most given the injuries but with everyone back the following is utterly inexcusable: - Starting with 1 up front again and that 1 being Michael Ruth. There was a significant improvement when we changed to 4-4-2 at half time (at least until we went in to full self-destruct mode at the back) but the game was already gone even by that point. - Continuing with the aforementioned Hetherington as club captain and shoehorning him in to the team at the expense of literally anyone, despite a string of shite performances - A completely predictable and naive style of play - The last time Dixon was dropped we lost 3-0 at home to Airdrie. Now 6-0 on Saturday. - Playing right footed players on the left and left footed players on the right. Seriously, what is that all about? This is the third tier of Scottish football and players are barely competent on their stronger foot. - Conceding terrible, terrible goals. I know every goal can be classed 'avoidable' but I genuinely can't remember us ever being such a complete catastrophe at the back. The standard of goal we conceded on Saturday were typical of those we have been gifting all season - 5-0 down and we bring on Gary fucking Miller, which is possibly the worst of the lot. I don't like to see managers sacked (especially when we started so well) but to not recognise any of the above is a huge failure on his part. Holt has to take a fair chunk of the blame as well. I get that recruitment is one of the most difficult things to get right but signing utter dross like his own son, Hetherington and Wilson along with generally behaving like a prize w****r are all sackable offenses and he'll do very well to keep his job after this. Ranaldo Bairn
So what was the actual attendance on Saturday? Hilarious crowdwank jibes aside.
roman_bairn
So what was the actual attendance on Saturday? Hilarious crowdwank jibes aside. There were just over 1100 of us. I’d say split about 50:50 although there were only about 150 Bairns fans like myself who stayed to the end. Couldn’t blame the ones that left tbh…..

Mick1867
We've been largely dug shit for 5 weeks then we go and produce this. Equally amazing and ridiculous. Aye Falkirk were pish but we were relentless. No coincidence that big Fox was back but Longridge, Brown and Connell were all class. That four on one with them pounding forward and Falkirk players nowhere to be seen just summed up a perfect day for us. For once the multiple orgasms on the highlights commentary were justified.

But your comment that “arguably one of the worst results in our history” does kinda whiff of that arrogance mentioned earlier, or perhaps just denial. Falkirk we’re beaten by Queen’s Park. Both teams in the same league, with full time squads and we had home advantage and started the game sitting higher in the league. It’s just 3 points. Are you actually suggesting that wasnt the worst result in our history?? A mere few years ago we were 90mins from the PL when your mob were an amateur outfit, it is a riddy of the highest order.
