Don't claim any huge insight on that one but the number two angle was being stated a lot in the media back in February. The knock against China when this gets discussed appears to be that they never intervene anywhere far from their borders unlike Russia in Syria and when they do try to take on one of their neighbours such as Vietnam in 1978 and India more recently in some limited border dispute they tend to come off second best. That conveniently overlooks the Korean War though.

Depending on the source, Russia and China flip flop between 2 and 3. Russia was reckoned to have more projectable power (since proven false) and better trained personnel (ditto), but China was catching up rapidly, especially at sea. I suspect China is a firm number 2 now, despite a huge deficit in nukes to Russia. Russia is most likely to end this conflict on a par with India or Germany, excluding those same nukes.

If I'm being honest, I'm probably not that great at cooking roast chicken either. That sounds serious. I suggest you wedge half a lemon inside and cut the other half lemon in two and squeeze between the thighs. That should help.

Some military watchers had Russia as number 2. welshbairn
All I can find is this, nothing from the Russian side of the plant being bombed, which they'd be making a huge fuss about if it had. Quote "Targeted strikes by our troops in the localities of Energodar and Kherson have destroyed three artillery systems of the enemy as well as an ammunition depot," the Ukrainian Army said.
