Saints v Motherwell, Saturday 19th March

Recommended Posts

Wondered what effect us taking the lead would have.  Turns out - not a lot !!

I particularly like the theme we keep going - essentially one shot on target = a goal for the opposition.

Ah well it was good while it lasted.

A draw suits neither team that much.

That's fucking pathetic from van Veen.

Considering Motherwell as a club had a bitchfit around Porteous and Hibs, they're sure desperate to chuck themselves to the ground then surround the ref every chance they get.

Just now, Archie McSquackle said:

As you said, didn't expect us to finish the afternoon in 4th but the very next post was about the St. Johnstone equaliser!

Radio saying KVV just got booked for getting thumped and Saints player should have been off.

van Veen kicks out at Cleary, who then pushes him, and van Veen drops to the floor clutching his face.

It was embarrassing.

They'll enjoy the replay then. Definite booking for Cleary for shoving Van Veen (not thumping him). Van Veen left a foot in on Cleary about 5 seconds after the ball had gone and should be off.

The referee is a complete wee man, even though Saints deserved 2 of the bookings they have
