Deanburn Dave
Trialist outfield players were:-4 Jamie Todd- tall lean centre half. Looked OK on the ground and good in the air.6 Allason Jones- silky swede midfielder. Very promising performance. Loads of wee short passes. 12 John Ward- 18 year old left back...2 quick runs, a few accurate passes. Didn't see enough to make a proper assessment.14 Dylan Coll.....he was an under 20 player last year......looks older than his years. Big and strong. Kept moving to give passing options. I was impressed.Trialist goalies err.....2nd half had the surname Torres who lives in Bo'ness...... 1st half I cannot recall his name. Neither keeper dirtied their gloves. Deanburn Dave
Oh and Kyle Johnston is signed on for this season. Not blessed with pace but he is a very good passer. His end of season form last season was excellent. Hopefully he kicks on as there is potential there.

Deanburn Dave
Jamie Todd and Jamie McCormack was the centrehalf pairing at Harthill. On the basis that Murray Carstairs appears very unlikely to return do we have a better pairing ?I would prefer to see Jamie McCormack at fullback where his drive and aggression creates havoc in the opposition half. Number seven
Will there be any cover in that area if injuries and suspensions kick in?
Deanburn Dave
Hawkins and Locke have stood in before but I reckon we need another proper centrehalf in the squad. As you say suspensions and injuries are always going to happen.
Number seven
Agreed. This season will be tougher.Hearing Gretna are training in central Scotland again and have attracted better players due to this.
LongTimeLurker
Dalbeattie Star could be the weak line this time around as they weren't able to keep the team together that did well for them last season.
Deanburn Dave
Saturday at 3pm the BU welcome LTHV.£5 Admission. £3 concessionsI enjoyed the 0-8 victory at Harthill on Tuesday but I would prefer a more competitive game on Saturday to see our new defenders in action. Deanburn Dave
1-0. Stevenson hits a long freekick. Alason heads it across to the back post and there is Tom Grant to blast it in. Good execution.
Deanburn Dave
2-0 Tom Grant in the right place as LTHV muck up trying to play an offside trap.Edit to add that a few BU fans on the line said Tommo looked a yard offside.

Deanburn Dave
3-0 at HT. The BU have been dominant in the first half. Should be 5 or 6.
Deanburn Dave
4-0. Great lay off by big Dan and Alason curls it neatly into the corner with the goalie stranded.
