Bo'ness United 2022/23

A very encouraging start to the season.

Devon’s pass to pick out Jones for the first goal was as good as the touch and finish itself.

Pass marks for every Bo’ness player today. MOTM a tough call but would give it to Lennon Walker for being absolutely horrendous for Cumberland to play against. The wee man got kicked and pulled down nearly every time he went past a man but got up and right back to it every single time.

4-1-1-3-1 .....is what it looked like.

Devon Left back.     Hawkins right back.     Locke and Todd centrehalfs.

Gemmell just in front.....with Declan Hughes a bit further forward.

Then Stevenson on left,  Alasson on right and Walker at 10.  ....but the three were very fluid.

Big Watt at 9 put in a proper shift. Pulled the opposition defence all over the place.

One negative today was a couple of daft bookings for BU players for raising their hands after being fouled.   They need to leave it to the officials to dish out the punishment.

Just need to “keep the heid” in these situations.  Thought we played, well, were organised and took our chances. Tougher games to come but withe the addition of Walker - till end of December - and return of McCormack and Hamilton from suspension plus Grant from his Hols not to mention a fit Zander and Jack Smith it looks a decent squad.
