Hampden Diehard
With the Scotland team being totally overwhelmed at the Euros, it's time to reap the "B team dividend" and get the young stars into the national squad.

ronaldincoo Posted Thursday at 12:14 Share Posted Thursday at 12:14 (edited) I'm guessing, but now the SPFL fixtures are out that we should hear about our fixtures in the next day or so ? Edited Thursday at 12:15 by ronaldincoo
roy of the rovers Posted Thursday at 12:36 Share Posted Thursday at 12:36 It was a week after the SPFL ones last year so I wouldn't expect them much earlier this term.

Its an open draw so they will be entered from the 1st Round. 160+ teams in it there's a decent chance of a bye.

It is "all in" so expect about half of the 16 Lowland League teams (No B's allowed) to be in the First Round. Last season -Round 1 involved 70 teams in 35 games . If my arithmetic is correct 93 teams got a bye in round 1. Round 2 is 64 games (128 teams)

Didn’t the WoSFL vote to make entry into the SCC non compulsory this season?

There was meant to have been a vote on it. If it had passed I imagine people would have been talking about it.

Part of what is required to be part of Pyramid, for better or worse. Typical arrogance by the old Junior thinking , last to the party and still think they can choose the playlist. There's the answer for you. Hope that helps. Thinking that the very existence of groups such as Welfare/Amateur/Juniors now, in the modern era with a pyramid in place, is just out of date. The only justification seems to be to keep the groups' Blazers happy? ......... and, maybe me being a cynic, to try to cause distractions/disruptions e.g. add to fixture lists.

Why can clubs not have the choice to play in the SCC?
