CoveRangers1922
The last round of league games to end the year; chances of another 8 goal thriller between these sides? Unlikely but surely more likely than a keeper scoring a 95th minute equaliser! That's still raw, unsure I'll ever get over that wondrous header. Will be 3 weeks since we last played when Friday night comes around. This is a huge game for both sides. A Cove win would open up a 10 point gap which would be a big ask for Accies to make up in the second half of the season, although not insurmountable. It could allow us to get within touching distance of mid-table. An Accies win, a decent window and they will be looking upwards with a degree of optimism. We'll be hoping the extra week off might mean that both Shay Logan and Kyle McClelland are back, meaning a full squad to choose from. The latter has been out for 2 months since impressing in his 2 and half games after arriving from Hibs. 12 goals in the two games between the sides so far. Suspect there will some in this one too. Hopefully that's not that curse of death and a pursuing nil nil draw. Edited December 18, 2022 by CoveRangers1922

Laid-back Accie
If we lose this, then I really can't see anyway back. So the best result would be a postponement, and let us enjoy our Christmas.

CoveRangers1922
A vital win for Cove at nowhere near our best. Certainly wasn't a classic Thought we looked a bit disjointed, rusty and lacked some control. I've seen enough of Gerry now to say he's utter pathetic and shouldn't be anywhere close to our starting lineup. The McIntosh double and an upcoming transfer window has probably sealed his fate. Disappointing to lose Gilmour through injury. Hope it's just a niggle. Also what I took from that game is; 1) Fyvie is a never a left winger 2) Scully is wasted at LB 3) Masson shouldn't be playing for us Accies should have gone ahead early with Ryan's close range effort hitting the bar. Goals change games and it might have been a different outcome. Accies looked ok going forward, created a couple of decent chances but defensively they look awkward. Hard to see how Rankin keeps his position. 10 points adrift of 8th at Christmas, it's probably time to give someone else a chance at turning it around in the 2nd half of the season. Geoffs Assistant
Couldn’t make the game so was following the score tonight. Good result, but sounds like we didn’t play our best. Hoping for a new face or two in the upcoming window.
