Elgin v Bonnyrigg

Recommended Posts

Think this a bigger game for both teams than the table suggests. A win for Elgin should mean we can look at maybe  sneaking into a playoff place - lose and again we will be nervously looking at the points difference between us an bottom place. We’ve been dreadful at home lately but picked up a great 3 points last week - hoping for a decent performance and a win by the odd goal. 2-1 city

Another dire game I’d say for both sides even though Bonnyrigg will be happy with the win the only tempo was from the first 15minutes then the rest was a midfield battle some of our passing was atrocious and our performance just seemed flat

Laughably bad performance. Actually think it's one the worst Elgin performances I've ever seen. Need to waken up or the Highland League will be too good for us.

Weird.  You were well worth your win last weekend at our place, indeed the margin may have been greater, yet you can't seem to buy a performance/result at Boroughbriggs.

Bonnyrigg will just be safe I think. Think Albion are beckoned to join us, sad as a nice historic club. Elgin have no worries about the drop for considerable years. There is much worse stock out there than yourselves.

Albion do have Charlie Reilly.... For now

Is indeed. Not found guilty yet but he is tied to the club for a couple more years so thought ott to say maybe his last game in an Elgin shirt.

As soon as whatever ban he gets is up he will be snapped up by another team. Only reason he is still at Elgin is because this was hanging over him. Heard yesterday that there has already been talks between him and Cove to go there.

Would it be an instantaneous ban do you think?

He has talked to a few teams I heard over the years. Should get a decent fee for him if he moves. No where good enough for Championship but fair chance Cove will be League 1 next year. Possible Shane Sutherland will return next year to replace him during a ban or if he moves on?
