Peterhead v Falkirk

Recommended Posts

I don't mind us resting a few players but I don't want wholesale changes as it would be good to get a resounding win to build up a bit of confidence going into the playoffs.

Kinnear
Williamson Donaldson Mckay Mccann
Yeats
Morrison Nesbitt Kennedy
Oliver Allan

Obviously the very definition of a meaningless game in terms of the league.

I certainly wouldn’t field a strong side with the prospect of launching into the play offs 4 days later. As suggested elsewhere, perhaps at least trying Burrell alongside Oliver would be worthwhile, but McGlynn seems to be set in his ways, so it’s unlikely to happen.

We need as many fresh players as possible as both Airdrie and Alloa will be chasing 3rd next Saturday.

I think the momentum argument is dwarfed by the risk of picking up a serious injury in a totally meaningless game. To go up, we are going to need to play four games in 10-11 days. I don’t see the point in making that five in 14 days, so I’d just wrap the usual starting XI in cotton wool

We should have enough depth to put out almost a completely different 11 and still have enough to win comfortably.

Morrison

Williamson McKay Watson Mackie

Henderson

McGuffie Lawal Nesbitt

Allan Oliver

Subs: Kinnear Rowe Donaldson Max Morrsion Kennedy Burrell Wright

I'd leave McCann and McGinn out completely to keep them as fresh as possible.

My eyes will be on the other games in all honesty. Would much rather have Alloa than Airdrie to contend with next week.

Do you not like Yeats?

I'd go:

Morrison

Williamson McKay Watson Mackie

Nesbitt Yeats Lawal McGuffie

Allan Wright

Well spotted, forgot about him. I'd have him on the bench. Would like to see him start but if you didn't have McGinn or Henderson there then there is a real lack of physicality.

Treat this game almost as if it doesn’t exist.

Completely second string / experimental lineup for this one and back to serious football in the playoffs.

Are you hoping to join the ugly sisters with their pointless B-Teams 🤪

Struggling to remember us involved in a league game with less at stake for either side. With both club’s league position already set in stone, Peterhead may well want to say goodbye to L1 with a point or three, but for us, fielding a strong side would be a bit daft for several reasons with the negatives far outweighing the positives.

As long as he leaves Williamson up there.

With Rowe out injured we've not really got a choice.

Yes we have. MacKie CH and McKay or Yeats at RB.
