He was okay for us - but would probably have been in the squad player rather than regular starter category had he stayed.

Less than a minute into the game, the ball goes out of play after Shinnie's first, seemingly innocuous, tackle. The referee blows his whistle to halt the restart, much to the confusion of everybody inside Pittodrie. Then come those foreboding words over the PA: 'VAR checking possible red card for serious foul play.'

If it’s like the last time that happened then it’ll be a deserved red too.
