They looked far fresher, were working harder and finding their men better. Their front 2 were a real handful and had our defence well rattled. Fin Malcolm our best player today. His penalty was near the corner but not hard enough. Good save by their keeper IMO. WTF was big Musa thinking !!! Crazy goalkeeping to give away a penalty. Game was very scrappy and that definitely suited them as they were right in about us. Big striker up top should have started the game for me as much as it’s not pretty sometimes things dictate a hoof ball into the box and see what happens is the best idea. Fairly even first half and while the Uni front two were a handful, the BU defence were just about coping. Lazy challenge in the box gave BU a penalty and got in front. Never really looked too troubled, yes the defence had to work hard and concentrate to deal with the Uni attack... but they were dealing with it. And then the goalie had his little moment... and the game changed. Scored the resulting penalty to equalise, clearly knocked BU off their game and gave Uni a lift and soon after a well taken strike and it was 2-1. BU changed things up and got back onto their game, but with a lead to defend, Uni midfield 3 just gave them no time, shut down everything and looked to get going on the break and as BU got more desperate, especially after the penalty miss and pushed men forward, that's where the 3rd came from. Just shows that the game turned after Musa chasing a lost cause . Clearly affected the rest of the team for a bit . Even then we still had a chance of salvaging game with penalty . So wouldn’t say the best team won on this occasion . Added to that an injury time offside and the score flatters UoS . Got to just take it on the chin and start again next week . Looks like his last BU game was our match at Bonnyrigg Rose when we lost 5-2 in the Scottish Cup.
