Whilst I absolutely take your point I'm pleased to see someone scoring a decent amount of goals. I can't remember the last time we had a player that scored a rake of goals for us since John Daly.

Eh Lawrence Shankland?

I'm probably exaggerating but wasn't about 50% of Shankland's goals from the penalty spot?

Of the 40 goals he scored for United only 3 were penalties. (https://www.arabarchive.co.uk/player.php?id=1958)

Nicky Clark was always the best penalty taker during Shankland's time at United.

But I thought folk can’t have involvement with two different clubs at the same time ?

You can. Red Bull run Leipzig, Salzburg, New York and more. The City group have umpteen teams around the globe. The guy who owns Brighton also has the club in Belgium that Shankland signed for. It’s only a problem if 2 teams owned by the same company qualify for the same European competition, and even that gets overlooked most of the time (eg Salzburg & Leipzig).

Some twitter rumours doing the rounds.

Owner of Brentford looking to buy United.

Bit more firm this one but Sibbald going to be signing an extension.

Obviously unlikely but that would be superb.

Matthew Benham has built up Brentford from very little to be one of the best run teams in England. Probably second only to Brighton.

Apparently Hibs are getting a ruling tomorrow or something?

Think the SFA/SPFL are looking at changing the rules

The "significant interest" rule is an English football one, so if Hibs are looking for a ruling on an SFA/SPFL matter, it must be this one:

That ties to the UEFA loosening of multi-club rules...but I don't see how they get around the English league limits, unless they've been amended to only apply within England/Wales, which doesn't seem to be the case, so, IDK.

That alone should illustrate why he wouldn't touch us with a bargepole.

In the right hands, you could turn around most clubs in the four national divisions below the Premier League and make them reach the promised lands where oodles of cash await.

Bournemouth and Luton both have grounds with smaller capacities than Tannadice.

In the right hands, you could turn us around and get us finishing 3rd in the Premiership every year and possibly turn out the merest of profits - and that's dream scenario stuff.

Only fools with cash to spare will invest in Scottish fitba.
