They don't do it under the name of the WoSFL.

Since 2018-19, it is surely realised that winning this cup has lost a lot of its prestige. Not sure why West of Scotland still cling on to the auspices of the Juniors set-up.

No one can, the WoS league decided they can't handle any more teams and stopped any new applications. They seem more concerned about running the Junior Cup than reorganising to accept new applicants, even though they were happy enough to take Threave from the South region.

With 5 Divisions of 16 teams where would we put any new teams?

By the "West of Scotland", I assume you mean some of the clubs, and not the Board.

Maybe not poaching teams from a rival league would be a start.

The rest I'm sure you can work out, this myth of every league have to have 16 teams and the SFA saying no to regionalisation seems to come up a lot but no one has actually confirmed it expect it was mentioned once at a meeting years ago

Please name this team(s) that was/were poached, and who the "rival league" is ?

Behave yourself, stop acting dumb. You are better than that.

You fill the league full of teams with no grounds and playing out of cages, didn't politely tell Threave that they weren't in your catchment (don't bother trying to come out with a silly technicality to justify it) and then claim the league is full and stop taking new applications

It's not a technicality. They applied to join the league, the clubs accepted their application. If the clubs had voted against them, then they wouldn't have got in.

The SoSFL were given the opportunity to have a boundary which the WoSFL would recognise, the same way as we do with the EoSFL, but the SoSFL said they didn't want a boundary. So we were duty bound to pass Threave's application to join the league onto the member clubs, and they accepted the application. We couldn't "politely tell Threave that they weren't in our catchment" (the way we have done when an East team has applied), because we wouldn't have been telling the truth.

Another example of the lack of foresight and planning for the future. A competent committee/league/whatever would have seen the issues before hand and done something about it earlier. But to blame the clubs for accepting everyone and anyone into the league then closing the door to any new teams is the WoS way

Nope, I can't work it out. That's why I asked.

Is the full 5 Division set up to be rearranged to fit in 2 or 3 new clubs?

As Glensmad said there was no poaching by the WoSFL.

The SoSFL were asked if they wanted a boundary, but they said no.

Probably thinking they might pick up a couple of teams that thought going South would be a shortcut to the Lowland.

Remember Wellington FC anyone?

What new teams are we talking about anyway?

Would these new teams have a better set-up than any that have already been accepted?

Please make up your mind.

That team that ticked all the boxes and applied but were REJECTED by the clubs as they weren't within the catchment?😂

We will never know because the league accepted a load of half-arsed clubs without the proper infrastructure as quickly as they could and then stopped new applications

That's them. Accepted by the SoSFL Board and rejected by the clubs.

So it's not only the WoS clubs, but the South of Scotland leagues fault you filled the league with clubs who don't have the infrastructure in place and closed the door. That's good to know
