Lanark 5 Muirkirk 2

Best team performance I've seen from Lanark for quite some time. New management team started only 1 Lanark player from our previous match, remainder came over from the Gow amateurs.  Played some lovely football against a young Muirkirk team whose keeper had 3 very good saves.

Muirkirk didn't help their cause by stupidly getting a player sent off on 47 minutes for calling the ref an arsehole, following an argument about whether a ball was out of play or not.

Pleased to say Chucky Watt came on as a sub and had a goal and an assist by full time.

Nice to see Liam Mushet back at The Yowe Camp.

Grounds for optimism.

Bankies grab 3 points in a game where both teams lacked quality, Talbot really lack a cutting edge and giving opposition keepers nothing to do, we need to accept we are in transition with realistic expectations but things need change either shape and additions still required in forward areas.

Dominant performance from Clydebank today and were worthy winners ... seemed quite a few less moon howlers in attendance today ... deserting the ship already ???

Hatred dripping out of you with that post some of those cup finals must have left real indelible hurt in you, hope you get over it at some point. All the best.

Clydebank should have won by a few more goals. Missed a couple of sitters.

Too many people think Talbot will be alright and come good but with that squad we'll be detached from the rest by Christmas.

£42000 sitting in the players fund and not a penny spent. Unbelievable .

You are only losing by the odd goal, which from the outside looks like if you sort out forward area then you will start to win again.

During the close season, when Stuart McCann didn’t re sign for us my concern was he would go to you. As really feel his power and pace would have fitted in well to how Sloan likes his players. Not sure if you did go for him before JB signed him but feels like a missed opportunity to me.

Burgh 1-0 Blantyre Vics

Not by any means the best performance but really great to see the improvement to the defence with the introduction of Naismith, which in recent weeks has been an absolute shambles. Were without Esplin, Menzies, Lafferty, McKinlay and a few others today.
