A View From The Terrace - Series 6 Episode 1

Recommended Posts

Telfer, Shaughan, Fowler and Joel are back tonight to discuss the guff and the glory of Scottish Football. The boys ponder how the season is shaping up for a number of SPFL sides after the early rounds of fixtures, before discussing how Aberdeen, Queen of the South, Motherwell and Hearts will fare based on statements submitted by their fans.

With another busy summer in Scottish Football just past, we dip into the world of Social Media to catch up with the latest online nonsense, with everything from Ayr United meets Big Foot to SPFL Mascots caught on camera. Eyes On The Ball then makes it's return as Telfer plays quizmaster across three very different rounds, which ends with one unlucky member of the panel adorning the bib of shame.

Our films this week take a look back at the little know story of Glasgow Rangers Basketball team, and how one of the fittest players in Scotland is secretly battling Huntington’s disease.

10:30pm, BBC Scotland and iPlayer.

With the Live Championship game followed by Still Game before A View from the Terrace. The perfect evening.

This a 100% couple beers between the Friday night game and still game. Followed by a couple wagon wheels and a glass banana milk with a view from the terrace.

If you were asked to draw a picture of an Aberdeen fan there’s a good chance you would have drawn our Glenn, fair play terrace.

Also @Francesc Fabregas get a haircut.

He’s part of the red tinted glasses podcast. He seems to appear a lot on the news and programs like this

Location of purchase of both Shaughan and Joe's upper body wear please.

Thank you.

The northern Curve for Joel’s wear. Few of his and Robert Bothwick’s tops have been from there

Really enjoyed Friday's show, there seemed a real energy from the guys being back.

A good mix of fact and humour.

Robbie McNab's section was really well done, both he and his mum spoke very bravely about what must be a dreadful position to be in from both their perspectives. Massive credit to them both and hopefully Robbie's dad is doing as well as can be expected in the cruel circumstances he's fighting against.

I'm at a stage now where the reaction you get from hearing stories like this one and the school bus crashing in Merseyside on Friday puts my teams result on a Saturday into a far greater sense of perspective. No longer are the days between defeats ruined.

Life's way too short, like the majority of Scottish football fans you take the highs when they come along, as infrequent as that may be, and the hope that better times are ahead for your team.

A programme like AVFTT is hugely needed.

It encapsulates in a light hearted manner, the good and the positivity of all levels of our game.

Dare I say that you then switch on Sportsound on a Saturday and you feel you're light years away from discussions about the same sport in the same country.
