It's absolutely relentless. I was wondering that too. Elgin v Stenny is off, there's a pitch inspection at Bonnyrigg.
Sweet Pete
There's an old man building an ark outside my house. It is not a day to play or attend football.
Jaggy Snake
Still on as it stands but you'd assume if the rain stays at this level the pitch will end up with puddles on it anyway. Hopefully it eases off. Edited October 7, 2023 by Jaggy Snake
Replays
Rain has subsided slightly in the Blairdardie area of Glasgow. Hopefully lighter still in the Costa del Hamilton.

ScottR96
I’m a couple of miles away from the ground just now. The rain isn’t particularly heavy but it just relentless.

BallochSonsFan
Bigger concern might be the roads and public transport network. Serious problems with trains. Lots of roads are flooded or getting that way. The pitch might just about be playable, but getting to the game would be a bit of a problem and there's a real doubt if the game would finish.
cameron2000
I’m not sure if it’s really makes sense to play this. Roads are terrible and the drive from Dumbarton to Hamilton is more dangerous than it’s worth to see a game of football.
same_ol_g35
Yeah currently there is a one hour delay on the train to Hamilton West out of Central and the next two have been cancelled outright.

Replays
Aye, safe travels to any Sons fans coming through for this (if it’s on). Seen quite a few videos of the roads from Balloch - Clydebank and they look just a wee bit wet to put it mildly.

Guest
I wasn’t planning on attending however I think at some point some consideration for the safety of those who will attend needs to be taken into account. The roads in Dumbarton and surrounding are horrendous. Motorway will be much the same. It’s not only the condition of them at 3 o’clock you need to think about either. Spectator safety for travelling home at 5 needs to be considered also. If this keeps up till then…it’s a long old swim from Hamilton back to west Dunbartonshire
BallochSonsFan
It's wetter than Rod Hull's roof out there. f**k it. I'm staying in this afternoon.
SLClyde
Roads aren’t too bad around Lanarkshire this morning although if this is forecast to keep up then that’ll change obviously.

I’m not sure there will be much of the Stags left at this rate, Glasgow Road is under water. I struggled getting home at 8am this morning due to road closures in the local area and things have only got worse since then. You’ve got to imagine the A82 at Milton will be struggling big time. I’m surprised the supporters bus is still running.
