As an aside, is Christie Scotland's penalty taker? If so, does he take them for Bournemouth?

As far as we can tell, yes, when he's on the pitch. McGinn took one last week of course but Christie was on the bench at the time.

Dykes has taken them but not since he missed against Israel. He's still QPR's taker though so I expect he'd put his hand up to take one if the chance arose. He wasnt on the pitch against Norway when McGinn took it either.

IIRC he is their second choice penalty taker ?

I think Solanke is 1st choice? No idea if Christie's next or not.

If QPR get relegated we surely can't take BDD with us to Germany.

We can't be lowering ourselves to the level of Ireland, Wales and the north part of Ireland.

I know it's just a wind up, but QPR won last night so probably could have timed it better mate.

I know it's all bantz, but if QPR get relegated, Dykes won't be going down with them.

I think he might, unless his form improves!

Love that Jacob Brown was written off by many of us and now has two in two off the bench.

Yeah Dykes' goalscoring form has been poor, but he remains first pick for QPR - which suggests his all round form and what he brings to the team outweighs his lack of goals

How did he get on ?

Could tell it was his first start in a while as his touch let him down a few times and made some iffy decisions defensively (though that part of his game pre-injury). Still showed signs of what made him so exciting previously.

I think the only other left field candidate aside from the two you mentioned could be for the 3rd striker spot. If someone like Ross Stewart, Fraser Hornsby or Oli McBurnie start banging them in during the next 6 months then they could have a real chance of making the plane.

McBurnie got a moronic red card today by all accounts. He's a liability IMHO.

I see Stewart hasn't been on Southampton's bench for the last few games. Has he had a setback in his injury recovery?

Yes. Not a reoccurence of the original injury, but something else less serious.

We won’t expect him this side of Christmas, more likely mid-to-late January. He’s seeing a specialist. We’re really heartbroken for Ross. It’s not the same injury. I feel like we haven’t rushed him, everyone’s been in agreement with the plan. It's really unfortunate and we're really disappointed.

Livramento and Anthony Gordon look like they could definitely improve the squad. I know the chat about them has been done to death but I really like the way they play and they would fit in nicely to our style.

They’d certainly improve the squad. Both quality players. It’s a pity one of them would be in what are already our strongest positions though.
