I don't have enough points for tickets so have no dog in this fight but a few of our WhatsApp group are flapping a bit at the prospect of a free for all.

So much so that one of them has emailed the SSC...

The nick of that, entitlement reeking out of it.

Well, indeed. As I said, I don't have enough points so it's an irrelevance to me.

Its an irrelevance to me too but I dont think the point is entirely unreasonable. I do understand staggering the sale for those above 12 is time consuming and more complex but in practice its just an extension of what they are already doing.

At the end of the day, you can be sitting on 12 points without ever having set foot outside Scotland. I'm not sure its fair that someone who has spent thousands traveling across Europe but has no online access till maybe 6pm today could end up having to pay £600 for a Germany game ticket while someone who doesnt even have a passport currently but has flexible employment grabs the more in demand Fans First tickets because he can.

Even if they'd maybe had 2 tiers, one for say 16+ points and one for 12-16?

I'd reconsider my mates if one of them went on like that.

The flip side of that is 5/6 away games and a ticket is yours, not sure how that gives you "uber" status over someone who has gone to every home game and bought a ST package in the last couple of years.

is anyone who tried their code at midday worried that they have cooked their goose so to say and invalidated that code?

Just saw someone on Twitter saying the got  through to the access code but will not try it until confirmation that new codes will be issued incase it goes against them

I’d imagine they’ll send out totally different codes.

It has to be new codes now given some who have them shouldn't have got them at all at this stage. No way they will work their way through and try to invalidate the codes issued in error given their is about 7500 of them.

You cant get to those 5 or 6 away games (officially anyway) without already having 11 or 12 points though!

You're not seriously suggesting there is a significant number who only go to away games and dont go to Hampden are you?

I just dont think its unreasonable that 1st dibs on the most popular tickets should go to those who've at least had to attend 2 or 3 away games in the campaign.

I am currently in that position (12 points go to all home games and dont have a passport at the moment) I used to go to loads of away matches (mostly in the nineties) but my personal financial circumstances make that impossible but always hoped that I could maybe save up (as I have been doing) and go to the finals.  By doing this I am not queue jumping simply getting access to the less expensive tickets at the same time as everyone else on 12 points or more. I still struggle to see why those who can afford to travel the world should be entitled to the cheapest tickets.  I am only going for the 50euro or 195euro tickets for the opening game as anything more than that is just stupid (in my circumstances)

So what if you've not set foot outside of Scotland? There are plenty of people who travel for home games across campaigns and not everyone lives in Glasgow or the surrounding area.

Again, and?

Why should that get you the same chance of a good ticket as those who went to Norway, Spain, Georgia, Cyprus, etc? Its clearly neither the same level of commitment nor cost.

nah, I would imagine a good few went online at 12 noon without realising the process had been cancelled - they would not have expected another SSC email so may not have checked their inbox
