Clyde v The Spartans

Recommended Posts

Spartans showing what a very average bunch of players set out and coached well can achieve in this division. It is unbelievable how disjointed we were today and the extent to which we relied on Dunachie for ball progression is embarrassing. Says it all about the standard of good old cinch League 2 that we might have snatched a wholly undeserved point at the end. New manager has got a lot of work on his hands between shaping this lot into a non-rabble and shifting a lot of shite in January.

So soft. Had spells of keeping the ball to create absolutely nothing. Spartans wander forward twice and we concede our usual powderpuff goals. Good luck to any new manager getting a tune out of that. A blow losing Whyte too - hope it’s not too serious. He looked concerned coming off.

Darren Whyte’s had a torrid few years with injuries, a knee injury today I seen on Twitter?

hopefully he recovers and gets back playing.

We were dreadful for 80 mins today and there was a real lack of urgency, desire, fight and any sort of coherence. Yet after we scored the goal we played much better for the last 15 mins or so, where was THAT performance for the rest of the game?

Spartans weren’t great but I’ve lost count of how many times this season we’ve lost meekly to poor teams.

Was surprised to see Rennie go off at half time but Fraser Malcolm did ok second half.

Few big games coming up now against teams close to us in the league. Hopefully a new manager in the door will give us a bounce.
