I've aleays said it should be clear daylight between players. On what planet does Maeda have an advantage over the County player when half his shoulder is further forward?

There's a margin of error with all of this technology, no matter how thick the lines are. And also calling offsides that tight is silly.

It also makes it impossible to look across the line and know if you're onside.

What is clear daylight though? I agree the offside rule is a pisstake but changing it to something like clear daylight surely makes it even more undefinable.

Then you'll just have the same debate about whether it is, or isnt, clear daylight between players. 

Just let VAR have the baws to say its inconclusive and favour the attacking side if you cant prove definitively theyre offside.
