Dumbarton -vs- Stenhousemuir (Saturday 9 December 2023)

Recommended Posts

Oh baby absolute scenes in the living room there.

We just about deserved that. Should have had 2 or 3 goals second half but for Brett Long and Edin Lynch heading wide from an open goal.

Peterhead dropped points. Another clean sheet.

Go on the fucking ladsssss!

There are care homes with less shite on the bed than DFC's record in big games under the gaffer. But we soldier on cause we're lucky to have him.

All the best to the Stenny lads in their title push, a team who can grit it out and murder anyone on the break - actually a better example of what Farrell tried to do with us last season.

Aye, we bottled that. We still lack cutting edge at the front and we look frail at the back. Albeit, Stenny needed a huge slice of luck to actually score in the end.

Not a fan of the ref or Stenny players rolling about on the deck for half the match, but fortunately nothing major in the influence of the game.

Wasn't a classic game, lots of slack play and both teams cancelled each other out a lot. We didn't trouble the Stenhousemuir goalkeeper as every shot we had was wild. Ref and the stand side lino weren't great, but he balanced it out with poor calls for both teams. We lacked cohesion and cutting edge. Aside from a spell midway through the first half when we looked really dangerous. The quality of the game dropped off a cliff towards the end. Stenny's goal came with a bit of luck, but that's what you need to break the deadlock sometimes. Thought Edin Lynch and Gregor Buchanan were needlessly noising up the home support after the goal/full time.

Buchanan was a good player for us, just don't get on the wrong side of his Da' though, he'll hunt you down.

Lynch is shite but has maybe found his level.

I think his sister and dad were sitting in front of me and @Clarko_son some time ago and weren't very pleased with the criticism he received for a particularly poor performance on said occasion. The poor wee lambs.
