The Spartans v Heart of Midlothian

This isn't all that different from Hearts' season in general.

We've pressed the game into areas where we want it, we've had good possession, we've been pretty quick to win the ball back and have generally not given our opponents much of a sniff.

We haven't made a lot of chances, but we rarely do. We generally win low-scoring games by keeping clean sheets and smothering the game out when in front. We were doing that till the boy whacked one in.

Not saying we're playing amazingly. More that we just seem to play the same game again and again. There are no new weaknesses or strengths here. We just haven't kept the clean sheet we usually need to win.

Enjoyed the commentator talking about Edinburgh City looking comfortable in the SPFL. The same Edinburgh City marred with financial problems this season.

What do you mean? Teams that are “comfortable” are always having to fight winding-up petitions from HMRC!

Imagine analysing your team struggling at a glorified public park to this degree

It's probably easy to say Hearts look toothless without Shankland but there's quite clearly no idea what to do when they're within 20 yards of goal.

Unless they get a corner and there's a tall boy in the box, of course.

People who watch Hearts have been saying all season that we're generally clueless in attack. The team is set up to get Shankland a chance or two per game, and he generally takes one.

But the overall performance today is really what we watch most weeks. We've had a lot of possession, done little with it, and scored a couple of goals from crosses.

We're playing against a poor team, of course, but this is just the same as we play in the league. A very hard team to understand.

YAAAAAAS I don't have to watch another 30 minutes of this shite.

That’s a wee bit of an over celebration giving it’s a 92nd minute winner against a bunch of diddies.
