East Fife Vs Clyde

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow will be an interesting match as the new and  improved Clyde visit  Bayview.

Clyde will be confident after a good start to  2024 but East Fife will go into the match equally confident after a good win at the Rock.

East Fife  should line up the same as last week, any recoveries from illness/injury going  onto  the bench.   As ever the  first goal will be  important and  set the  tone of the match. Prediction 2-1 The Fife.

Damn. I thought it was a midnight kick off!!

Only joking, came through the night before so the wee man can go to the Fife Heritage train museum in the morning before kick off. A Clyde supporting train enthusiast, he's going to be a hit with the ladies 🤣

Watching on stream today and it looks as though Shepherd is going to body Ross Lyon every time he goes near him. Leighfield is possibly even scarier on the stream than in person. We’re working the ball into decent areas but it’s all breaking down a bit in the final-third thus far. I had wondered if Stevenson would come in for King rather than Rennie coming straight back into the team.

Memo to Davie, our kitman. Can you make sure Brian Easton's shorts have a pocket in the back, where he can keep Martin Rennie? Thank you.

Must have a hole in his pocket today.  Surely you are old enough and smart enough by now tempting fate like that.

We've not created much outside the goal but we have definitely been the better side. The four players in centre half and centre midfield are so proactive and aggressive in winning the ball.

A rubbish start but grew into the game and grabbed a deserved equaliser. Have had a few chances to get ourselves in front too. Reasonably happy. Midfield has won plenty. Howie will maybe be a wee bit disappointed not to get the rebound for the opener but the centre-halves have been fine since. All a bit sticky up front for me but we haven’t been a million miles away from something coming off. I thought Rennie had been pretty rubbish but he’s grabbed a goal and looked better for it. EF still look dangerous on the break with the ball on the deck but they seem to have a fascination with punting it long which isn’t working.

Certainly must be a pocket related injury that we've now subbed him!
