There was no indication that the outcome of this inspection at 11am would likely lead to another one if the pitch was deemed playable. ETA Just seen your later post about announcing a possible 3pm inspection. You make a fair point raising the possibility of one. Perhaps the club, wrongly, assumed everyone would take it for granted. If the pitch inspection at 11 showed the pitch unplayable then there was no chance of it being playable tonight given the rain that is forecast for the afternoon. Would have given everyone (maybe no the Belfast Loyal) plenty time to cancel their travel arrangements. An early inspection requested by your club btw. There are 3 areas of the pitch causing concern, I'd be surprised if the covers haven't been put back on there.
