Stewart was chronic on commentary tonight. Appreciate he has a job to do and call the action. It couldn't have been more obvious that Thistle didn't give a rat's arse about this game. The full sub bench almost, started the game. 16/17yr olds coming on at the end. Questioning the changes, saying it will impact our playoff campaign because we got a "doin". Completely out of touch. Considering Airdrie did the same thing and lost 2-0 to QP, I'm pretty sure nobody gives a shit.

As much as there can be some quite nasty banter between Jags and United fans at times, I do think they were a great addition to the league this year. Being able to play against players like Watt, Moult, Middleton in this league has only made the other teams' players better for it. Playing United has been a challenge for every team and some teams have even rose to that challenge and managed to grab points. I don't remember it being like that with Dundee or Killie. I also quite like Goodwin as a manager and find him very professional. And finally, you have to take your hat off to Docherty and Holt for taking a bet on themselves leaving Thistle and settling into the United Team and winning the league. Docherty especially now, is going to get a crack at captaining the side in the top flight and he is more than capable of that.

As for Thistle, anything can happen in these playoffs. Either way I think we will be up there and about again next year, if we don't do it this year. Ultimately we have finished one place above last season and hence banked 80k more prize money, so you can't say we haven't improved despite losing 4 of our best players. Slightly less points tally which is frustrating. And I don't think losing the playoffs can be classed as a failed season considering all the shite that came out last June.

You are genuinely a top Championship team but never a Premiership team.If you couldn’t do it with a team that included Docherty, Holt, Turner and Tiffoney ( all left) hard to see you do it this year.

Fear last year was your chance against a really poor Ross County team with a much better Thistle team . But hey who knows with Graham upfront Thistle can always win a game of fitba.

Hard to disagree mate, if we did go up we would need to sign a good few players in diff positions with some experience.

I think the only player we would’ve kept last year would have been Turner, if we did go up. It seemed like the others were already leaving. Tiffoney was rumoured to have already signed for Dundee before playoffs even started.

I do think we have replaced them pretty well like-for-like. For example, Harry Milne was injured last year and didn’t feature at all in playoffs. Robinson for me has been a good replacement for Tiffoney. As well as McBeth coming in for Holt. Doc is the big miss.

between the 3 teams in these playoffs when they’ve all played each other most recently there’s not been much in it (apart from us beating airdrie 4-0 but doubt that happens again, they will learn from that)

Very jealous watching these celebrations on TV last night.  :bairn

It was great. As much as we were in this league due to a combination of negligence and utter shiteness, and you could argue a club our size should never be in this league to begin with, I have never seen us win a league before - I was too young for 1983, and I don't feel like the Covid season really counts. I really enjoyed last night, you forget how good football games can be if there is no pressure. Even at 1-0 down, I always felt we would win the game.

In a weird way, it felt more satisfying because Raith Rovers made it so difficult. We went on a great run when it really mattered.
