Qualified top with a game to spare.

Nice.

Aye, still need 3pts at the weekend to grab a last 16 seeding though. Ourselves, Aberdeen, Livi, and County can all still attain 12pts, but we have a decent GD so any sort of 90 mins win over ICT should do it.

After last season, qualifying was important.  Should hopefully be a bit more relaxed at the weekend and (hopefully) another Dunc masterclass ©️ @Sir Tarmo.

Getting through is priority, obvs, and a seeding could yet still mean facing Hibs, Motherwell, Utd etc, but it guarantees avoiding Hearts and the OF and it's the only chance of landing one of the lower league sides that squeak through.

At first glance, it seems like DFC are the first, and as yet only team to guarantee progression to the last 16. Spartans can still catch Livi, and it's looking like it will be 9 points and decent GD to secure one of the 2nd place slots, so nothing is decided yet apart from DFC winning Group D.

Edit - think Aberdeen have won Group A, but not 100% certain.

Can't see Utd going through.

Falkirk and Ayr are both at home, any win for Falkirk against Stenhousemuir will put them above Utd and Ayr need to win by 3 against Buckie Thistle to do it.

Yeah, it's going to be a minimum of 9pts and good GD to get one of the 2nd place slots, which UTD have, but there are a screed of teams that can still reach 9 points and pad their GD's and East Fife can reach 10pts and finish 2nd, so they'll be extremely fortunate to squeak through.

Thought the boys played really well tonight!

Arbroath were more physical but the young lads competed well, some nice one touch moves, particularly first half.

I thought Keogh showed some nice touches up front, and I really like the look of Macleod in the centre of the park.

Perhaps grounds for quiet optimism for the season ahead.

Well done to the four (or was it five?) 'A9 Martyrs' who watched the whole game roadside...

No, if Aberdeen lose and Airdrie win at the weekend, then Airdrie top the group (Queen of the South can also still technically win the group, but it would need a huge goal difference swing).

So yes, we’re the first team to qualify. It’s now just about securing the seeding by finishing with maximum points.

Wasn't sure if H2H decides group placings between teams tied on points, or if it's GD, or only GD if it's 3 or more teams.

Would a draw be enough for us to be seeded? Regardless of the penalty shoot-out.

Thought the young boys played well we just needed to be more clinical in the final third. Gone from absolutely dreading this season to being quietly optimistic. We'll see how it goes.

Saturday is now pretty much a friendly hopefully the boys put in another good shift & make a good account of themselves we can then focus on Dumbarton.

It wouldn't guarantee it, because Aberdeen, Livingston and Ross County can all still get maximum points, while Alloa could still get 11.
