Deanburn Dave Posted Saturday at 14:24 Author Share Posted Saturday at 14:24 Halftime 0-1 to the BU's . Today is Hessian sack Fitbaw.....The opposite of Silky Fitbaw. The wind and bobbly pitch are causing both teams to struggle to make passes. Passes kicked 50 yards are blowing al over the place. Bit of a lottery . Livingston United have long throws as their danger weapon. Launching it deep into the BU box. BU attack struggling to get through the back 6. Hopefully the late BU goal will see Livingston change their set up to 4-4-2 and we may see a more open game. BU playing with the wind in the second half.
Deanburn Dave Posted Saturday at 14:38 Author Share Posted Saturday at 14:38 4 subs at halftime. Melrose for Campbell (no obvious reason for doing this IMO) Smart , Malcolm and Hawkins coming on. Kennedy, Nicol and Irving off.

Very windy on a wobbly pitch...... A very Football Manager possession

The BU's didn't create many chances in the first half. The game only really opened up at 0-2 when the strength of the BU squad was apparent.

Deanburn Dave Posted Sunday at 18:17 Author Share Posted Sunday at 18:17 I don't have any issue with swapping goalies week to week.......but I don't like goalkeepers getting substituted at halftime. That will bite you on the bum at some point.
Pennelton Percy Posted Tuesday at 07:51 Share Posted Tuesday at 07:51 I reckon we will be covering 600 miles for the next three games. 110 miles round trip to Gala, 330 to Banff and back then 160 there and back for Berwick. Heavy costs for club and fans in a 10 day period. I hope the pies are worth it.
boheesian Posted Tuesday at 08:58 Share Posted Tuesday at 08:58 The obvious issue with subbing goalkeepers at HT is an injury to the Sub thereby having to bring on an outfield player. Interesting scenario to contend with.

Midweek trip to Berwick is the one that sticks in the craw the most.
