He was running though. Your arms are going to move.

I do think that for handball VAR referrals, referees shouldn't be allowed to make their judgement on slow motion footage. Show the incident at real speed to get a real sense of what is and isn't a reasonable body position and reaction from the defender.

Especially with the 'snickometer', they no longer need to focus on whether it hit the arm/hand which is presumably why they always slowed it, therefore it should always be played at full speed.

There is nothing more unnatural than having your hands down by your sides while your running.

Unless you’re an aquatic flightless bird, native to Antarctica.

That VAR can give that as a penalty tonight and not even be referred to when Ronaldo had his shirt stretched to breaking point the other night shows how detached from common sense and reality the game has now become.

Musiala used to play in England for anybody that didn't know.

Pulling someone's shirt isn't in itself a foul, though. It only becomes one if you impede the player who's shirt your are pulling's ability to play the ball by doing so.

Also, VAR only overturns "clear and obvious" errors. If the on field referee says he's seen the shirt pull clearly but didn't feel it was a foul then VAR can't do anything.

Disallowed goal, missed two sitters, scored two.

End of the day this has been pretty comfortable for Germany.

They have further gears which they will definitely need to beat Spain and France.

Needed a game’s gone handball after an hour to set them on their way - so tad harsh on the Danes.

Albeit they could have been blown out of the water Scotland-style early on - and maybe survived that through luck as much as anything else.

What qualified him for England? I thought he was born in Germany to Nigerian parents?

Lived in England from 7-16 and played for their youth teams. Ironic according to Clive.

Dad is part British and residency as lived in UK since 7.

Cheers. I had it in my head that the UK nations had signed up to a gentleman's agreement not to use the residency qualification or have I made that up?

Honestly, I think those grounds are strong enough.

When Clive Tyldesley's gone we'll miss him.

Got you.

It’s probably Ally McCoist being so good, but I don’t think he’s that bad any more.   And if Vicky Sparks ends up getting the gig…
