The 20s are shaping up to be quite the banter decade for Scottish Labour. Quote Another Scottish Labour source said: “People are speaking out from sheer frustration. They are worried that we are now at 14% in the polls, and what if that is not even rock bottom. They don't actually care about being in power. All they need to do is ensure the Labour Party is non threatening to capital and the directorships and high paying post parliamentary career will be their real reward. BawWatchin
So Labour in Scotland team up with the tories to get the daily briefings axed. Just as infection rates are starting to rise again. Now they're all high fiving eachother for what they perceive to be a victory against the SNP. You really couldn't make this up.

Jackie Bailie will no doubt be their next "saviour" when tim nice but dim is launched in the no confidence vote. This is going to get tasty.

Ivo den Bieman
Wee Dicky to face a no-confidence vote tomorrow, apparently. Gerry Hassan is a pompous windbag but if you can get past his self-promotion, this article on Labour’s bind in the twenty first century is worth reading. Meanwhile GMB Scotland reflects that Labour faces an existential crisis in our country. Best result tomorrow: wee Dicky hangs on with a narrow but defensible lead, leaving these puffed-up nonentities fighting like cats in a sack all the way to a Holyrood annihilation next year. CambieBud
Interesting article but I’m afraid that boat has sailed. Scottish Labour is now a nonentity and will be forever associated with Unionism. Standing on the same side of an argument with The Tories, Farage, BNP, DUP and the Orange Order ended any remaining credibility. Sad but true
Ivo den Bieman
Nothing sad about it really. Ghastly group of folk who deserve what’s coming to them. A new centre left party is probably needed.
CambieBud
Ironically the only way back will be after Independence. I read recently that their membership in Scotland is down to around 5000. Mostly old Trade Union types fighting the class struggle of the past. Any aspiring youngster with political ambitions would not join Labour as it would be a dead end. People like Neil Findlay are well aware that their own remaining supporters are increasingly in support of independence but the party is stuck in the past. Even he has decided to throw in the towel and is not standing again next year. Leaves the way clear for Jackie Baillie ffs. As I say, sad.

Theroadlesstravelled
The SNP in Scotland and the Tories across the UK are not being held to account as long as Labour are weak. They need to sort themselves out quickly for the good of the country.
