Dunning1874
What a day for Labour. There's that shite above, here's their full press release for it: As well as this there was another attempt to attack the Tories from the right, accusing them of being "soft on crime" again; because what a government with Priti Patel as Home Secretary needs is encouragement to be more draconian and imprison more people. Scottish Labour then had to get in on the act: As if diving into bed with Murdoch isn't bad enough, doing it on a programme presented by a journalist best known for publishing Neo Nazi conspiracy theories as fact is quite a look. While the UK's shambolic electoral system makes it harder for parties to collapse to such an extent they get fully Pasokified, Labour would do well to look at France where their sister party have gone from being in government to getting less than 2% in a Presidential election in the space of five years. They're in for a rude awakening if they thought installing a barely sentient triangulating ham in Corbyn's place was all it would take to turn things round - they could easily get worse.

Incidentally, why is it Sarwar fronting the ads and referring to “The Scottish Labour Party”, rather than his Sirship and simply “the Labour Party”? If it’s Sir Keir making these pronouncements, why is he allowed to commit electoral fraud via having an accounting unit posing as a political party?

Granny Danger
Starmer is a scumbag, no two ways about it. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/apr/28/keir-starmer-hosts-israeli-labor-party-in-charm-offensive-ahead-of-local-elections Starmer has also shown an uncompromising attitude towards pro-Palestinian activism since he was elected leader. He said he did not accept the findings of an Amnesty International reportthat Israel was an apartheid state. Its report found there was “institutionalised and prolonged racist oppression of millions of people”. -

BFTD
I just watched an old documentary about the Greenpeace activists who got sued by McDonalds in the Nineties for distributing leaflets outlining how their products harm both the environment and human health. Having no money, they had to attempt to defend themselves in court against McDonalds' highly-paid team of barristers. After the case was over and they got massive amounts of publicity, they appealed to the ECHR, whereupon they were joined by none other than Not-Then-Sir Keef Starmer, whose arse they kissed profusely for his help. I wonder what they think of him now.

Jim McLean's Ghost
John Rentoul trying to spin this absolute shambolic performance from UK Labour as a big win for Keir Starmer They are +40 seats with about 4000 council seats contested which is pretty much a rounding error. When Boris and the Tories are meant to be on the back seat.
O'Kelly Isley III
The London centric media obsessing with Barnet, Wandsworth and Westminster councils, the last time I looked the Lib Dems were up 176 in England overall to Labour's +48. If I were in Labour HQ I'd hold the champers for now. Edited May 6, 2022 by O'Kelly Isley III

Granny Danger
Dianne Abbot saying she doesn’t think Starmer will be fined but if he is he should “consider his position”. She’s wrong. If he’s fined and does not successfully appeal it he should resign; no consideration required.
