Imagine a Labour MP saying they might support a Tory Government in a confidence vote.

And these arseholes complain about a reselection process.

If the goal of socialism is to deliver those things, and that's been done, then what is the future of socialism?

To stop these things being undone, for starters. Although consolidation on its own doesn't work. As the old saying goes, "the less left wing the Labour government, the more right wing the next Tory government".

Anyway, if there's no point in socialism does that mean there's no point to the SNP? Sod it I'm gonna skip the answer and answer it already - if there's no point in socialism is there a point in independence?

Yes.

We aren't wanting a vote to install a one party government for perpetuity. One strand of the independence argument is that Scottish sentiment does veer to the left of the UK average but it's really a sub argument of the main one which is that decisions that affect Scotland are best made by the people who live in Scotland. Independence needs to be about more than a legislative platform. It's about the structures of our government, about how we come to a decision as much if not more than the substance of that decision.

If a future independent Scotland votes in a Laffer curve surfing, benefit stripping zero corporation tax government, I'll consider it a grievous mistake, but it'll be our mistake to make.

Neither of your questions make sense. The point of the SNP is to deliver independence. The point of independence is independence. Socialism, or not, is irrelevant.

The Tories have been in power for about 27 of the last 40 years.

If they genuinely wanted rid of the NHS they'd have done it by now.

The election of Trump and Brexit has moved the goalposts. In the past there were more than enough sane Tories to keep the free marketeers at bay - now the lunatics truly have taken over the asylum.

If they are talking about subverting democracy to get No Deal Brexit through then anything is possible with these b*****ds.

Oh and what does socialism have to do with independence for Scotland?

In fairness these aren't your father's Tories. The Postwar consensus is long since dead.

Do you think insulting the electorate will entice them to vote for socialism in the future?

It is not we who insulteth them, but the propagana weapons in their homes controled by large corporations, in which they believeth every utterance from.

You're insulting them right there.

No. That's just what your propaganda box wants you to believe. It is really it that is insulting you by insulting your intelligence.

Or lack of.

Saying that people are too stupid to understand the difference between reality and propaganda isn't insulting them?

Propaganda and reality are the same thing in the mind of an anti-socialist. bQshDtu.png

They're all swayed by corporate media and are then too embarassed to admit when they've fallen for it, yet again. eMlO2Ay.png

Labour establishment peers illustrating once again their determination to help stop Corbyn beating May.

The sooner these vile creatures in that vile place disappear from the face of the earth the better.
