Guest Jedi
We all have potential for learning ..and I am always more than happy to do so. I did first join a political party (clue it wasn't the Tories) in 1984. I then spent many years campaigning for that party, leafletting, door knocking, doing stalls, regularly attending Branch, Regional, and Conference meetings. During those years I had many conversations with senior figures in that party in Scotland.I was also an election agent for someone standing for Westminster. In 2003 I stood as a candidate for Holyrood, and have also stood in a variety of local Council elections, all the while continuing to take part in each and every campaign from local to national elections. I also held regional offices in that party. In addition, I studied Scottish politics at postgraduate level. As said, more than happy to admit that I have 'much' to learn about politics, and am always seeking to do so. The above is merely to illustrate that I do have at least 'some' limited knowledge of Scottish politics..none of it gives my views more or less validity than anyone else though, and hope that 'allows' me to be able to post, now and again on a 'Politics' forum. 101
This MP clearly doesn't have the faintest idea about Scotland. Not only has the conference speech not been yet the comments weren't made to a party conference. Why take on that interview and question if you don't have any knowledge about the subject.

Never said it was Labour ...it was on the constituency though, not the list vote. Sweep away... Edited October 10, 2022 by Jedi
DeeTillEhDeh
Never said it was Labour [emoji3]...it was on the constituency though, not the list vote. Sweep away...I hadn't got to the Scottish Socialists yet.[emoji16]Labour's constituency list was a who's who of careerist shitebags. That was the election they just scraped a win (and went into coalition with the Lib Dems) - lots of other party candidates got elected on the list - 7 Greens, 6 SSP, Scottish Senior Citizens Party and Margo McDonald.

There is a broken health care system and child poverty in Wales. I wonder who's been in charge there....
