Maybe to better understand the players' mentality/attitude?  Same for fans and media.

Well, non-English managers have been able to understand the players well enough to dominate the English game for decades. It's so long since an English manager won the top division that only pub-quiz addicts can remember who he was.

As someone who only watches England in tournaments, just give it to Carsley if he wants it.   There is no guarantee the club manager skillset translates to the  international environment.

Edward 'Eddie Howe' Howard has been backed into favourite with da bookies.

He has some miked-up training sessions on youtube, for those who live in fear of England appointing a decent coach.

I think we can sleep tight regarding the next world cup. I think they will hire someone like Potter or Carsley and bomb out at the group stage or R16 in the Usa. They are not winning the world cup.

Said manager will then resign and out of desperation they will give the job to a Guardiola or Ancelotti who will by then be available.

they will be dangerous at Euro 2028 as they are bound to at least make the semis as hosting nation.

p.s. don't know why they got Euro 2028 after hosting most of Euro 2020.

Jude Bellingham is going to be more trouble than he's worth.

He seems like a nice lad, but his ongoing complaining and his ego are in danger of getting out of control.

Borussia Dortmund players were reportedly delighted to see Jude Bellingham leave due to his attention-seeking behaviour and inflated ego.

I saw a lot of Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund. It seemed like every match he was moaning at his team-mates.

His "Who else?" He yelled out as he scored against Slovakia and his constant act as England's savior is going to cause division in the England camp.

Only two current managers would be able to deal with him: Ancelotti and Guardiola. Anyone else is going to struggle to deal with Bellingham's ego, and he's only 21.

I remember Cristiano Ronaldo at 21. Compared to Bellingham, Ronaldo was an introvert and a boy-scout.

Even if he wasn't, he had the likes of Keane, Ferdinand, Scholes, Fletcher, Vidic, Nevilles, etc, to put him in his place. Before even mentioning SAF.

And at the same age, Ronaldo was a far more accomplished player.

At the moment, Jude Bellingham's bubble has to be burst, for his own benefit. And it might happen sooner than he thinks. Real Madrid now have Mbappé, Vinicius Jnr, Endrick, Rodrygo and Bellingham fighting for four places.

There is talk of Guardiola being approached at the end of next season.

Very much doubt he would take the job.

He only takes jobs where the dice are loaded. In international football it's rare for a team to be miles ahead of their competitors.

The England job will probably go to Potter (which means there'll be a Scottish assistant in Billy Reid) or Lee Carsley.

Either way, to back up my previous post. Jude Bellingham is not going to respect either of those two.

It'll be akin to Ronaldo's dismissive attitude and utter distain towards Rangnick when Ralf got the interim Manchester United gig.

2020 was a pan European tournament. There were only 8 matches in England.

Also 2028 is a joint bid too.

The good folks of P&B should use the power of the internet to create a spoof account and apply for this.

Is this another of the Neville clan behind this?

Never mind P&B vs Mumsnet. Let’s take on the FA.
