Ayr v Raith Diddy Cup tie

Recommended Posts

Normally I'd enjoy a wee run in this cup but given this was just about the shittiest draw we could get, and the number of walking wounded we have we should just write this one off. We should just get 20 of our younger and fitter supporters to run about for 90 mins.

It's a funny one. Raith have a number of ongoing injuries at this time and this trophy shouldn't be a priority, if we were still mangerless I'd be happy to play a side of fridge amd young players and take the defeat.

However woth a new man in charge he may want to see what he has first hand and use it as prep for the next league match.

Both sides with injury woes going into this, hopefully an opportunity to get minutes into the legs for our fringe players. If we go through then great but interest will likely be low in this one.

Said it in our own thread but I’d be going fairly strong for this one. Think Devlin, Musonda, McMann (injuries), Syla (cup tied) and Bavidge (international duty) are all missing. I’d defo be starting McAvoy, Howley, Hastie and Walker to get them up to speed.

Why is Syla cup-tied mate? Is he out on loan?

Syla is suspended and Bavidge is cup tied I think is what Fraser meant

Aye, I made an arse of it Syla is suspended and Bavidge is away on international duty but think he would have been cup tied anyway as played for Aberdeen B earlier in tournament.

Lots of interest in this game, I see.

For me, this is a bit of a free hit for Collins. Would be great obviously to start with a win in what is probably the toughest tie we could've drawn, but we still have a lot of players that are injured or whose fitness is currently dubious.

Get through it with a decent performance and no new injuries and I will be pretty happy.

Much of a crowd expected from Rovers?

Wonder if we will have any food for you this time?

We are in the main stand so I’d hope you will let us get food this time.

Lots of injuries to the Raith players please, Honest Men of Ayr. Nothing too serious, just enough to keep them out on Friday. Ta.

No need for Ayr to do anything, we've already got a horrendously long queue for the treatment table.
